First, here are some things to think about:
1. Please realize that Valentine's Day is a commercial holiday. Its not about the love, the relationships, and the happiness. Its about the chocolate, cards, and flowers. Don't go around judging people on how much they love you based on how many pieces of chocolates you get. And if you don't have a "valentine" just think about all the money you're saving in this not so good recession!
2. If you're single and don't want to be...get ready for next year. Got your eye on somebody? Holla at 'em. Tweet 'em. Poke 'em. Whatever floats your boat. Start relationship therapy. If you don't have anybody in mind... get on the prowl, lls.
3. If you're single & lovin' it -- DO YOUR THANG! Don't let all these "happy couples," hearts, & cupids change your mind. This "couple-driven culture" is all hype game. Do you boo!
Now, here's somethings to do:
1. Make this day about you. PAMPER YOURSELF! Buy yourself chocolates and a cute card that says, "I love you ... just because." If you ballin' go to an all-day spa, and if you're broke soak in the tub. Head to Toe therapy just for you!
2. If you're valentine-less, Plan early. Make plans with either friends or family (that don't have boo-joints) and go out together. There's love there, too! Make the best of your night and be with people who really love you.
3. Make it a Day of Service! What's a better way to show love and affection than to give back? Visit an orphanage, nursing home, or even a hospital. Pass out flowers and love to those who really need it.
All and all, be positive. Don't walk around sulking about being single -- EMBRACE IT!
3 things to think about ... 3 things to do.
& those are my 6¢.
